Lagos & Online · Nigerian Children, Ages 12–16

Academic excellence.
Real-world skills.
Both, not either.

Starters Academy builds practical, future-facing skills in Nigerian children — designed to complement the academic excellence they're already working toward, not compete with it.

What we believe

Grades were never meant to measure everything that matters.

The countries that pulled ahead over the last few decades didn't just get better at exams — they got serious about building people who could think for themselves, without a syllabus telling them what to do next. Nigerian children deserve the same shift, without giving up an inch of the academic excellence they're already capable of.

About Starters Academy

Why we exist

Starters Academy was built on a simple observation: Nigerian children are academically capable — often exceptionally so — but school alone rarely gives them practice at the kind of thinking the real world actually demands. Not because school is failing them, but because that was never really its job. Our programmes exist to fill that specific gap — real problems, real feedback, real skills — built to sit alongside academic excellence, not distract from it.
